about us
Overview
EU-EAC CORE Programme: Advancing Regional Economic Integration
The EU-EAC CORE Programme (Common Objectives in Regional Economic Integration) is a strategic partnership between the European Union and the East African Community (EAC). Funded under the 11th European Development Fund (EDF), the Programme supports the EAC in accelerating regional economic integration and strengthening cooperation among Partner States: Burundi, Kenya, Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Somalia, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda.
By advancing key regional frameworks like the Customs Union and Common Market, the Programme promotes the free movement of goods, services, capital, and people across the region.
