Our project is driving the East African Community (EAC) towards a fully-fledged Customs Union. By harnessing the power of ICT, we’re revolutionizing how goods move across borders. Through the development of a cutting-edge regional Customs ICT platform and the enhancement of risk management and valuation functions, we’re streamlining processes, reducing trade barriers, and boosting economic growth.
Our work also involves strengthening the EAC Secretariat’s oversight to ensure seamless coordination and monitoring of customs operations. This collaborative approach will foster a more efficient, transparent, and competitive business environment within the region.

Modernizing Customs Systems: Developing and implementing a state-of-the-art Regional Customs Interconnectivity Integration System (RCIIS) to streamline customs procedures and reduce clearance times.
