The 2nd Peer-to-Peer Learning Conference, taking place on 10th and 11th June 2025 in Kampala, Uganda, will spotlight “Digital Innovation in Financial Services to Boost Cross-Border Trade and Productivity: Empowering East Africa’s FinTech Ecosystem.” Organised under the EU-EAC CORE Programme, the conference brings together financial sector regulators, fintech firms, investors, policymakers, and development partners to foster knowledge exchange and collective problem-solving. It will delve into East Africa’s evolving digital financial landscape—highlighting innovations such as mobile lending, digital payments, and regulatory sandboxes—and will assess how these tools can drive inclusion, productivity, and cross-border trade in the region. Countries like Rwanda and Kenya will share successful experiences in promoting regulatory innovation and fintech adoption.
